The client we are servicing is looking for an individual capable of leading the design, development, and optimization of an AI platform. Helping build systems that understand, reason, and act on human language and documentation. Beyond technical expertise, you’ll play a key role in shaping engineering standards, guiding junior developers, and collaborating with product and data teams to deliver seamless, high-performance AI experiences.

Main Responsibilities

• Architect, oversee, and refine NLP and AI pipelines from ingestion through inference and continuous learning.

• Build and scale document understanding frameworks for OCR, multilingual parsing, entity extraction, and semantic search.

• Design LLM-driven components for adaptive Q&A, intelligent onboarding, and contextual data enrichment.

• Fine-tune and deploy advanced custom models (e.g., NER, intent classification, scoring systems).

• Define prompt management, context retrieval, and API orchestration strategies using tools like LangChain, Semantic Kernel, or Haystack.

• Develop and manage efficient inference services through FastAPI, ensuring smooth integration with mobile and backend systems.

• Establish and maintain AI development standards: model versioning, validation, and retraining cycles.

• Guide and mentor the AI engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, precision, and scalability.

• Partner with product and design leads to align AI functionality with user experience and operational goals.

• Uphold and champion ethical and privacy-focused AI practices, ensuring fairness and regulatory alignment across systems.

Qualifications & Experience

• 5+ years in machine learning and NLP, including at least 2 years in a senior or technical leadership capacity.

• Deep proficiency in Python and ML frameworks such as Hugging Face, spaCy, PyTorch, and scikit-learn.

• Hands-on experience with LLM integration and orchestration tools (e.g., LangChain, vector databases).

• Proven record of building and deploying AI systems using FastAPI, Docker, and cloud-based environments.

• Familiarity with vector databases such as Pinecone, Chroma, or Weaviate.

• Strong foundation in language modeling, text summarization, retrieval-augmented generation, and data representation.

• Demonstrated success in leading teams, defining architectural roadmaps, and delivering production-ready AI solutions.

• Excellent communicator with a collaborative mindset and ability to translate technical complexity into business impact.
