Founding Engineer / Startup Builder (Remote)

Leru Remote partners with venture-backed startups and scaling companies across the US, UK, and Europe who are building next-generation products across fintech, SaaS, AI, blockchain, and digital platforms.

We’re looking for founding and startup-minded engineers, hands-on technologists who can architect, build, and scale systems from the ground up. You’ll work directly with founders and product leaders, helping them go from concept to MVP to scale.

What You’ll Do

Design, build, and ship new products and features from scratch.

Work closely with founders, product managers, and designers to bring ideas to life.

Scale and optimize systems for performance, reliability, and security.

Contribute to architecture decisions and technical roadmaps.

Lead by example, writing clean, scalable code and mentoring others as teams grow.

We’d Love to See

5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience (backend, full-stack, or platform).

Proven experience in a startup or founding engineer capacity — building or scaling products in lean, agile teams.

Strong skills in one or more of: Node.js, Python, Go, Java, React, or similar modern frameworks.

Experience with AWS / GCP / Azure, microservices, and CI/CD pipelines.

Entrepreneurial mindset — you’re comfortable wearing multiple hats and solving problems fast.
